EVACUATIONS
1. Stand and face the students, announce type of drill and give instructions.
2. Assign a leader and two assistants. Direct the leader to take them 100ft. (40 paces or giant steps) from the bus at a 45 degree angle.
3. Direct the assistants to their positions on either side of the exit(s) being used.
4. Depending on the drill, go to the proper place to direct the students.
5. Warn all students, "walk don't run."
6. Students should get off bus by alternating rows (left, right, left, right,etc.) following leader to a safe location.
7. When all students are off bus you will instruct the helpers to join the others and then check the bus for any remaining students.
8. You will instruct students to re-board in an orderly fashion.
