(Turn around AFTER picking up students and BEFORE dropping off students.)
Only at designated turn around points in a route or in an emergency.
BACKING POLICY
For the purpose of safe operation of company vehicles, backing should NEVER be executed unless the following circumstances have been met: executed in the company's bus lot where it is standard operating procedure for a vehicle to safely back
- in an approved designated route turnaround
- in an extreme emergency.
Backing outside of these circumstances requires the driver to radio dispatch for approval and only if approved may the driver then use safe backing procedures to back the vehicle. Unauthorized backing is prohibited
